Embrace

When arms connect,
it is not simply touch.
When two bodies unite,
every unheard breath
leads an orchestra of devotion.

Every heart I hear,
sings its own unspoken sonnet.
Every silent beat,
rings louder then a thousand bells.
Every pump of life that flows beneath me,
requires deep emotion.
And every ounce of love,
comes pouring out at once.

Every invisible cell of skin,
that hides a body’s soul,
contains the warmth of tiny kittens,
still buried in a mother’s wool.

Every tiny scrap of clothing,
that conceals your imperfections,
guards the depth of my emotions,
from latching on to yours.

On the surface this is normal,
it happens every day
But every sad and thoughtful smile,
speaks the words we do not say.

A quick and quaint embrace,
a knowing show of love.
A simple form of gratitude,
is all that is a hug.

Last day

I've never been this close to an entire class before.
I love you all.
I will miss every single second of this classroom.
And computer lab days will never be the same ;)
Just wanted to express thanks to everyones... love <3
I will never forget our pods
Jerry's amazing way to relate everything to a video game, and talking a million miles a minute to discuss the potluck :)
Jacob's interruptions that had nothing to do with creative writing and yet they still mattered :P
The warm-ups, the crazy warm-ups that just came out of nowhere, choosing our own due dates, watching the rebel report except never really watching it...
that day the seniors left and there were nine of us left... and nearly everybody slept ^^
Coming to school with a deadly red eye and becoming 'rabies,' possibly my most favorite nickname ever, one thing that I will remember forever
James Hersch and every single song that we heard and wrote... the symbols of every syllable... 'rabie babies' and the creative writing song...
Earning the comment 'cute' on my love poem...
The Potluck that turned into an Early Thanksgiving...
Our little groups island in the center of the circle...
But most of all... Ms. Kronzer and Every Single Student in the class.
I WILL MISS YOU.

Floating

Sometimes you think I am a rock,
Everything that is me is so plain to see.
But I’m not that easy to figure out.
I’m not a slab that you can position any which way.

Rather, I am a balloon.
I am filled with the lightest of air
I float and dance with the wind
And I’m filled with giggles and smiles.

I have skin of the thinnest rubber that
You want to believe you can
See through but I’m
Never that transparent.

I can grow and shrink,
And I can be poked,
As long as it’s not too hard.
I may be adorable
But I am fragile
And I
Can
Pop.

Connected to a string
That seems so lifeless
But it holds me back
Cut me free?
Or pull me close?

Balloons don’t live forever
And not only needles can break them.
Anything sharp,
Even a deadly personality.

Tomorrow I may be floating,
Or tied by my reins to a hand.
I will never know
Until the wind picks up
And throws me a new path.

ugh (that's not part of the poem lol just a comment :P)
